From Port Hardy to Prince Rupert, back into the USA at Ketchican to clear customs and on into Alaska. All is going well – Steve, Q and Jo are well on their way now – the scenery is awesome and they stay in Yakatan which is a lovely town on the coast with around 800 residents.

For years primarily a fishing/canning town, now tourism is rapidly developing – and it seems you can see why. Surrounded by natural beauty, milder weather than many areas of Alaska and charming people, it is a great place to stop – thank you Tracy and Leo at the Mooring Lodge who shared their marinated moose, self canned salmon and halibut and great lodgings and to the Yak-tat kwaan inc for overnighting the helicopter – picture – Yakutat bay
